What is Print on Demand?
When you want to publish a book, you have to basic options. Traditional Publishing and Print on Demand. In the past 20 years we have added the option of 'ePublishing' where the documents are available for download in an acceptable format.
"Print On Demand" allows the creation of a single copy of a book without the charge and materials requied for Traditional printing. The machine that does the work is like a glorified photo copier that takes the raw electronic files and combines the color cover, the interior pages, collation (gathering together), cover, folding and binding into a single operation. There is no need to print 2,000 copies (or 250,000) and hold them in a warehouse, hoping that someone buys them.
In both types of publishing you have the book written and edited, illustrations prepared, cover and book designed and then prepare for reproduction. At some of the repoduction stages there are costs to be paid before a single copy of the book can be offered to the public.

The price per individual copy may be higher, but that always is the price before the publisher, distributor and bookseller add their charges to the book.
There are no warehouses filled with copies of RECOVERY READER anywhere. It exists on computer servers for sponsormagazine.info, archive.org and on the hard disk at lulu.com, our print on demand service.
We are able to offer the book and just above the price charged by lulu.com. And continue to give it away for free as PDF and ePUB downloads.
