Dear xxxxx, dear yyyyy,
thanks for your letter and your effort to come to a settlement with Matthew.
Unfortunately all efforts to reach a good end with Matthew have failed in the past because of
his stubborness.
During the trial held at the district court in Frankfurt the judge and Matthew's lawyers tried very
hard to make him accept an appropriate settlement. Bodo and I were ready to immediately accept
such settlement before the court, while Matthew was not.
During the trial held at the High Court of Appeal its President asked for a possible settlement,
but Matthew refused.
It should not be forgotten how that during countless discussions with Hans, Bodo, Herbert,
Yvonne and Harald we were assured by Matthew again and again he would stop his doings, but
only to break his promises some days later and injure AA as a whole.
As things are today it is beyond our power enter into a compromise. We cannot reverse
court orders that have already been issued. Therefore, it is now Matthew's responsibility to bring
this matter to an end. Of course you are entirely free to try to find a settlement with Mattew.
We would appreciate if you are successful in doing so. We will foreward every serious
draft for an settlement to our attorneys for checking at their discretion.
We would be happy if you help us to bring this matter to a good end.
In AA service
